Australian Labradoodle puppies
Welcome to the official website of the Australian Labradoodle Home Kennel
That website was created with the thought of all lovers of that wonderful dogs. We would like to share our knowledge about those wonderful dogs with you, as well as present our wonderful Australian Labradoodles Codi and Gala.
Gradually we will present here all the information about those clowny hairballs. We will continue developing following sections: grooming, health, raising, training and other useful information in order to help you get to know and understand that breed better.
The eight to ninth week It’s time for learning!
The small pupils
We familiarize the puppies with a good training through rewarding. We teach them some basic commands, useful in their daily life: Sit!, Lie down!, Give a paw!Five!
Everything takes place in the friendly atmosphere.
We recommend all future dogs’ owners and their small children to visit ’dog kindergarten’, in which dogs are trained by the usage of positive reinforcement method.
They have a great time during the training and opportunity of pondering and thinking up behaviour for which they are rewarded.
When they make a mistake, they are not punished, so they aren’t afraid of taking new challenges. This method of training causes that the dog is willing to work- exercise, the dog is happy, open and takes initiative. Then, the dog learns faster. It likes working with its guide and associates him with positive stimuli, what helps to create strong relationship between them.
Remember, that the training should be fun for you and your dog!
The seventh week- we are building ‘educational trucks’
Educational trucks are one of ‘’twelve golden’’ elements of Margharet Hughes. ‘’Golden twelve’’ is what all puppy should experience before the twelfth week of their life.
-familiarization with twelve different surfaces: woodblock floor, linoleum, ground, grass, wet grass, newspaper, mad, concrete, puddles, gravel, bumpy surfaces, etc.
-games with twelve different things: plush mascots, small and big balls, toys made from hard materials, toys producing strange sounds, wooden things, paper or cardboard boxes, an old milkbox, yogurtbox, plastic bottles, things from metal, keys, etc.
-familiarization of twelve different places: courtyard, frontyard, friend’s flat, sprts field, lake, river, cellar, lift, garage, storage, vet’s surgery(where a puppy should be taken once in a while so as not to make an examination, but to make this place more pleasant for the dog. Before you will make a decision to visit the vet you should reward your dog handsomely, then your dog will associate the vet’s surgery with a nice and friendly place. Take your dog to a beauty salon for dogs (the same strategy as with the vet).
-contact and game with twelve new people(not family): children, adults (mainly men), elderly people, people living in a wheelchair, people using a walking stick or walking on crutches, wearing black glasses and men wearing black hats, etc.
-contact with twelve moving fast things (without any possibility of pursuit of them):
Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, motorbikes, running people, children, cats, scooters, vacuum cleaners, children playing a ball, squirrels, galloping horses, etc.
-contact with twelve sounds (you should pay attention to not giving your puppy too noisy stimuli): sound of closing and opening the door, sound of doorbell, playing children, crying infants, going lorry, bicycle, skateboard, washing machine, motor boat, clapping hands, loud singing, falling frying pan, neighing horse, vacuum cleaner, lawn mover, noise from birthday party, etc.
– different forms of contact with their owner (and family)twelve times a week: collaring for shoulders, thorax, holding on the floor at its owner, taking into hands, holding the head, looking in the ears, snout, between toes, taking temperature ( the vet may be helpful), cutting nails, holding on knees, etc.
-taking twelve challenges: coming in and coming out, coming around the box, passing through obstacles, hide and seek, passing through the doorstep, passing through electrically opening doors, coming on escalators, going on moving table, coming in and coming out from the bath/paddling pool, etc.
-eating from vessels of twelve different shapes and capacity: plastic, metal, porcelain bowl, cardboard box, cup, plate, saucepan, pot, newspaper, paper bag, etc.
-eating in twelve different places: garden, staircase, kitchen, cellar, bathroom, friend’s flat, car, sports field, bath, under an umbrella, on the bench, etc.
-games with twelve different puppies (or with peacefully adult dogs) as often as possible;
– staying alone (from 5 to 45 minutes) twelve times a week; it prevents from arising fear of separation
Well-planned and carefully carried out the puppy socialization in the easiest and most effective way to own a sustainable and safe dog.
‘Time of socialization is the time of showing the dog the whole world’.
The forty-fifth day- temperament tests of our dogs
The temperament tests let us to choose one proper puppy for concrete family. They define temperament and safety potential, willingness of human co-operation, kind of defensive reflex, tendency to dominate and sensitivity for sight, sound and touch stimuli. They define o which home the dog should be taken and what is the best way of their training. These tests are carried out in the 7th week of their life, better in the 49th day. In the 6th week the nerves connection are not developed yet ,but the 8th week starts the time of increased anxiety and tests carried out during this time are not trustworthy. The tests in our breeding were made by a behaviourist, zoopsychologist, Edyta Gajewska (www.wlochta-pasja.com.pl) and an instructor and trainer obedience, Agnieszka Pache (www.dogeverest.pl).
I am grateful for their work and appreciate their effort. I would like to say ‘Thank you Dears’.
The photo session made by Ania Cheba took place in pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
Everyone liked it.
The puppies without stage fright and fear posed for their photos, the had a great time.

Socialization and the enriched environment will be continued…
The fourth, fifth and sixth week from Australia Labradoodles’life.
We have started the fourth week of our Doodles’adventure.
It is more cheerfully now.
Passing period beyond us and we came into the socialization stage.
Why are we paying attention on it?
I will guote some fragments of the text from Andrzej Kłosiński’s lecture.
‘’In moulding and growing up of each single animal, the main roles play three kinds of stimulous effects of its environment.
1.Early developing neurological stimulation (from third to sixteenth day of puppy’s life)
2.socialization (from sixteenth day to sixteenth week)
3.and enrichment (without specific time extent, it is counted during the time of socialization)
Both the early neurological stimulation and socialization have limited time, in which an animal experiences the developmental stimuli and it may bring benefits in the form of long-lasting, positive effects to function in its adult life.
The time for dogs, in which the experience of interaction with other dogs and a man result in proper adaptation for life, falls between third and sixteenth week of their life.
Lack and negligence in the time of interaction of a young puppy with the other dogs and the man result in difficulties in adaptation to social surroundings and limited possibilities of learning new skills and situations. It concerns that the puppies are separated from different stimuli and situations as playing with other dogs, being in many various places, contact with people. Sometimes the results of the negligence, except from those described above, are unwanted behaviour- bitting and destroying household appliances, digging or other forms of hyperactivity. Enrichment the experience is a process which does not have extended time, therefore, the age to achieve the adolescence period is the age, in which the dog should experience and learn some positive behaviour. Encountering the dog with different situations (as a car drive, means of public transport, a visit at friend’s, leaving it on its own in unknown places, contact with children, the elevator ride, participation in dogs’ trainings, etc.) connected with a possibility of free exploration of the surroundings, gives the accumulated effect in the form of abilities of adaptation to a new, unusual event. As a result, the dog is not calm and even-tempered but also takes new actions easily and learns new skills. What is more, the dog becomes self-confident, open companion and it is curious about the world.’’
How are things?
We have started with introducing different things, new people and adult dogs, Codi and Donnan. The puppies spend more time with their father, Donnan, which is enthralled with his children and the aunt, Codi, which loves them like hers. Except from a playground with the sound stimulation (natural sounds and from CDs) means a hall and this week, step by step, it is going to be in the kitchen and the bathroom. The puppies tasted food for puppies and a natural yogurt. It was delicious, nobody sulked, I mean.
The puppies are 3 weeks old)
The third week of our shared adventure with the small doodles has just started. Doggies are slowly opening their eyes and their ear canals are being opened too. The puppies are taking sure steps. It has already started the innocent taunts, shorts walks around the room ( in our hands) and the first contact with toys. Puppies are learning new smells (for example smell of ramskin and a piece of wild boar skin in a vial, smell of furniture ,clothes, book,etc.). Everything takes place in a calm atmosphere, so as not to frighten the puppy. These activities help them to explore their surroundings with pleasure. They will feel more safty then. Sound stimulation is introduced by listening to a prenatal lullaby. According to a completed socialising schedule made by behviourist,Edyta Gajewska, we make exercises for diaphram (it’s so-called ”up and down swing”).These exercises are performed in order to avoid puppies’fear and nausea during a car drive.
To be continued soon…
The puppies are 2 weeks old!!
The puppies are nearly 2 weeks old and their average weight is 900g each. Any moment now and they won’t find enough place on the scale. Every morning I look at them and I can not believe how fast they grow.
They are almost walking .They spin an scurry faster now although still unstable as theyrush towards their mother’s teets with their hungry mouths.
Step by step they are learning. The tempers of the puppies is beginning to take shope. Not only „the girls” but also „the boys” are very quiet and polite, what is more,we can sleepat night. Days are rather calm, but they sometimes make a bit of noise .We will see
what is going to happen in the next time.Every morning we perform the neurological stimulation. We touch the puppies, stroke,
them several times,we also get them accustomed to our touch and smell.
We can’t hardly wait to their intriguing behaviour and tricks. In our free time we collect different interesting didactic materials to enrich their environment.
First manicure is already done;)
Puppies’ claws are cut.
Gala can take a deep breath and relax now.
We also started the early neurological stimulation programme
From day 3, we implemented it and we use it every day, once a day until day 16. We began from changing positions, tickling paws, and making them walk on a cold towel. What is the purpose of this? Research shows that this leads to the following benefits: Better circulation, stronger immune system and heart beat, health adrenal glands, and improved reaction to stressful situations.
For more information on early neurological stimulation, please go to the Socialization of puppies link on the website.

We control weight of our puppies every day.
We watch their weight every day and we are quite fortunate that Gala’s milk is of a good quality. Puppies are putting on weight well. They are sleeping and eating well. They are calm and growing fast. It is important to control the weight as between day 7 and day 10 their weight should have doubled from the day they are born. A way to check for the quality of mum’s milk is by regularly monitoring the weight gain of the puppies.
03.03.2013 We have puppies!!!
I have good news. On the 3rd March 2013 our gala became a mum. The first puppy was born at 1715 hrs and the last one at 2005hrs. The labour was smooth and quick. Gala is a wonderful and caring mum. The puppies are a mixture of colours. The first one is a big and strong puppy of a caramel colour who bravely led the way for its siblings. The puppies are strong and healthy.
